Lifetime Achievement Award
The Hispanic Bar Association of Houston was proud to announce that the recipient of its Lifetime Achievement Award was Mr. Thomas J. Forestier. Mr. Forestier is the Managing Shareholder of the Houston office of Winstead PC. After graduating from the University of Texas School of Law, Mr. Forestier served as a briefing attorney for the Honorable James R. Nowlin, United States District Judge in Austin. Mr. Forestier is a long time member of the Hispanic Bar Association of Houston's Board of Directors, and a co-founder of the Houston Diversity Council. Mr. Forestier is also a member of the Hispanic National Bar Association and the Racial Diversity in the Profession Committee of the State Bar of Texas. He was recently appointed to serve on the Board of Trustees for the Lone Star College System, and also a member of the Board of Directors and the General Counsel for the Houston Golf Association. Additionally, he served on the founding school board for St. Anthony of Padua Catholic School and was a member of the Advisory Committee of the St. Frances Cabrini Center for Immigrant Legal Assistance. Mr. Forestier is a trial lawyer and a member of his firm's Commercial Litigation and Energy and Environmental Law Practice Groups.
